Moodbidri, Apr 12: The new milk cooling and accumulation unit of KMF diary was inaugurated at Taccode near here on Tuesday April 10 by former minister K Amarnath Shetty.
Speaking on the occasion Amarnath Shetty said that owing to the hardwork and commitment of farmers of the region Taccode has become the centre of agricultural activities.
The renovated building of the milk society was inaugurated on the same occasion by Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain. Taccode parish priest Fr Hilary Pinto blessed the building.
DK Milk Societies’ Union president Diwakar presided over the function. The prime donors of the building Gregory and Benedicta Mendes, Francis and Mary Fernandes and Jerome Crasta were also honoured on the occasion.
Taccode milk society president John Rego welcomed the gathering while director Edward Rebello proposed vote of thanks. Paul D’Souza compered the programme. Directors Cyril Mendonca, Edwin D’Souza, Sridhar, K Lancy Serrao and Gracy Lobo were also present while M M Kumar, Majhe Ram Bhat, V Vidyadhar Hegde and J R D’Soza were present on the dais.
