Pari Rajan to remain in jail till June 12

Bangarpet, May 30 (DHNS): The JMFC court here has extended till June 12 the judicial custody of Pari Rajan, the prime accused in multi-crore single digit lottery scam.

Rajan has been booked under section 120 B of the IPC and various sections of the Lotteries Regulation Act.

Meanwhile, the kingpin of the illegal lottery scam is likely to file anticipatory bail in the High Court after his plea for advance bail in Civil Court (Junior Division) in Bangarpet and Principal Civil Court in Kolar was declined.

Rajan is currently lodged at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, Bengaluru. Officials of the excise enforcement and lottery prohibition wing had arrested Rajan on May 1. The local court remanded Rajan in judicial custody the same day.

Rajan, who complained of chest pain, was admitted to the government hospital in KGF. Three days ago, he was shifted from KGF sub-jail to the Bengaluru prison.
