Grenade lobbed at Kashmir police station, no injuries


Srinagar, May 30 (IANS): Separatist guerrillas on Saturday evening lobbed a grenade at a police station in Handwara in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir which exploded without causing any damage, an official said.

"Militants hurled a powerful hand grenade at the police station in Handwara this evening. The grenade exploded without causing any damage," a police officer told IANS here.

A search was launched to track down the militants, the official said.
