Udupi Jun 1: Fr Valerian Mendonca and Fr Reginald Pinto took charge of Commission for Social Communication and Commission for Women respectively on Monday, June 1.
Dr Gerald Isacc Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi, administered and conducted the oath taking ceremony in short but meaningful prayer service held in the Bishop’s Chapel on the first day of the June month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Fr Valerian Mendonca who is also the Chancellor of the Diocese and Parish Priest of Barkur took charge as the director of Commission for Social Communications. Fr Reginald Pinto took charge as the Spiritual Animator of the commission for Women.
There are 18 Commissions in the Diocese working towards the implementation of the Pastoral Plan 2025.
