Honda Cars' May sales up just one percent in May


Kolkata, June 1 (IANS): Premium car maker Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) registered a marginal increase of just one percent in its domestic sales during the month of May this year at 13,431 units.

It sold 13,362 units in the Indian market in the corresponding month last year.

Honda City continued to rule the sales figure at 7,562 units followed distantly by Amaze at 3,699 units while sports-utility vehicle CR-V saw just 48 units sold.

Its export figures during the month stood at 655 units.

During the last two months, the company sold 26,067 units against 24,402 units sold during the same period last year, marking a growth of 7 percent.
