Maid torture: Court's order on charge June 3


New Delhi, June 1 (IANS): A court here set Wednesday for delivering its order on issue of framing charges in a case against former parliamentarian Dhananjay Singh, accused along with his wife, of torturing their maid leading to her death.

This was announced by Additional Sessions Judge Amit Bansal on Monday.

The former MP is out on bail, but his wife Jagriti is lodged in Tihar Jail.

Dhananjay Singh, accused along with his wife in connection with the alleged murder of their maid, was charge sheeted on February 1 last year for various offences, including destroying evidence, abetting murder and attempt to murder.
