Kundapur, Apr 14: A summer camp for the benefit of high school students of taluk was recently held in the S Prabhakar Tolar’s indoor stadium at Bhandarkar’s college here. The camp was specifically meant for training the intending players in shuttle, badminton and basketball.
Inaugurating the camp the principal Prof Narayana Rao said that sports and games were essential for learning discipline in life. They would help maintain the holistic balance between body and mind.
He advised the students to make the best use of the summer camp. Physical education director K Shanker Narayana of the college made an introductory speech. He said that the camp was held on an experimental basis and its success would help the organizers to continue it as an annual feature. The member of the sports committee Naveen Kumar Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
