Muscat, Apr 16: The Oman United Pangalites met for the third time in succession in its annual term to celebrate the spirit of Easter on 13th April, 2007 at 12 noon. As their name rightly suggests the leaders of Oman United Pangalites were successful in uniting the Pangalites residing in Oman under one umbrella and this time with a greater strength and their spirits soaring high.

  The program started with a hearty and joyful welcome to the Pangalites gathered by Prakash D’sa.  Jovin Menezes, a well-known Pangalite in the Mangalorean community of Muscat and community leader of Ghala parish offered word of God on behalf of everyone gathered, which was followed by a prayer from Violet Lobo and a Pascal hymn.


The joyful and fun filled celebration commenced with Sunil D`sa, the  current  president of Oman United Pangalites, officially inviting each and every one gathered to enjoy the party and share the joy of Easter. He also expressed his joy of seeing many Pangalites at one venue.

Wilfred R. Pangla, renowned poet from Pangla Parish mesmerized the crowd with this thoughtful, yet, humorous poems.






The whole program was efficiently  compered by Lavina D’sa , who also conducted  the  fun filled games for the young and old that enthralled the whole crowd  with the help of Flavia Menezes and Trecilla Menezes. Each and every member actively participated in all games and whole event. Delicious lunch was served after the enjoyable events and games.

Sunil D’sa proposed vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all the sponsors and the Pangalites in particular for their co-operation and support extended to organize a family gathering of this type. He also thanked all the donors who had made contributions to the St. Vincent Paul Society, Pangla and to the  Seon Ashram.

The Pangalites of Muscat not only thoroughly enjoyed the party but also were overwhelmed by meeting their fellow parishioners .The efforts of the Oman United Pangalites committee members were not only praised but also highly appreciated, for having organized such a wonderful event that unified and bonded them together with their beloved ones .
