Kundapur, Apr 16: 'Tejaswi was not bound by committments or traditions unlike other writers. Besides being a farmer he had been a humanist of par excellence. He was not after awards but used to call the spade a spade,' said Bhandarkar's PU College principal Chenna Poojary.
He was speaking at a programme held to pay tributes to noted writer Poornachandra Tejaswi who passed away recently. The programme was organized by Samudaya and local unit of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).
Poojary futher said that Tejaswi was known for his sharp rashionale reasoning and transparent sincerity. Above all he had left behind him footprints to follow for the society at large.
Principal of the college at Shankaranarayana, Bhasker Shetty also spoke on the occasion and said that the Kannada literary world had lost the guidance of late KP Poornachandra Tejaswi. Editor of Kannada daily Vartha Bharati Shashidhar Hemmady welcomed the guests and compered the programme.
