Margao, Apr 14: Colva Police on Saturday afternoon arrested two persons for organizing bullFights in Benaulim paddy fields.

According to the information given by Colva police, Sabestao Fimenta, resident of Orlim and Sipriano alias Bobby Fernandes, resident of Fatorda, were caught red-handed when they were organizing the bullfights in Banaulim.

Both of them have been booked under Prevention of Cruelty towards Animals Act 1960 of Indian Penal Code.

Sources said that political leaders of Salcete arrange such kind of bullFights to make their voters happy.

Colva Polive Inspector Uday Parab is investigating the case.
