Here comes the world's first digital drug!

Washington, June 4 (IANS): Do you have the Monday blues? Does your friend's Facebook messages irritate you? Chill! Here comes a wearable device that helps you swing your mood.

The device called Thync zaps your brain with low levels of pulsed electrical energy to calm you down or perk you up.

In fact, for all intents and purposes, Thync could be truly the world's first digital drug, reports Discovery News.

The Thync System, founded by Jamie Tyler, associate professor at Arizona State University and Isy Goldwasser, an inventor, is a wireless device that pairs with an iPhone or iPad via a Bluetooth connection.

"Wear Thync for as little as 5 minutes to calm or energize yourself," said the developers of the device.

Thync uses "neurosignalling" to activate nerves and change people's state of mind.

The Android app for Thync is coming soon and using the app, you chose the kind of session, the intensity as well as the length of a session.

Thync is considered not a medical device, and therefore has not undergone any testing.

Priced at $299, you can even return the product if you are not satisfied within 30 days.
