Chhattisgarh ex-minister injured in road mishap


Raipur, June 5 (IANS): Former Chhattisgarh minister Ganeshram Bhagat was seriously injured when his car fell into a gorge in the state's Jashpur district.

The accident occurred after the rear tyre of his car burst, leading to the car falling into a 30-feet deep gorge, leaving five people including the minister injured, police said.

According to police superintendent G.S.Jaiswal former minister and BJP leader Bhagat was going to participate in a tribal programme in Lundra village in Sarjuza district. The accident occurred 17 km from that place. The injured were hospitalised.
