Sunny Sunday in Delhi


New Delhi, June 7 (IANS): The national capital will experience a sunny and hot Sunday and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius, the Met Office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain clear and hot winds will blow through the day.

Sunday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius -- two notches below average for this time of the season.

The humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 40 percent.

Saturday's maximum temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average while the minimum settled two notches below the average at 25.8 degrees Celsius.
