Mumbai, Jun 9: Konkani Catholic Association, Nallasofara held their annual free books and stationery distribution programme for 2015 at St Francis De Salis school auditorium, Nallasofara east on Sunday
morning, June 7.
The simple programme was presided over by local youth leader and president of KCA, one of the popular organizations of the coastal people, Harry B Cutinho. Local social worker Jayarama Kasar was chief guest. He distributed uniforms and stationery to the children and wished them well.
Jayarama Kasar speaking on the occasion, said that children played a significant part in forming the future of the country . “With suitable teaching, the life of students is bright, so it is
necessary to inculcate social concern and humanity among the children.”
“When patriotism and human values are developed among children, it is possible to have cordial life among people. Children can live in harmony only when human values are taught to them along with
education. Therefore, develop culture and language among children,” said Harry Cutinho.
KCA working committee members Hilda D' souza, Richard Pinto, Lilly Quadros, John Alva, Lucy Noronha, Romeo D' souza, Lavina Dais, Rony Pais, Daina Moraes and others were present.
KCA vice president Gracy Pinto welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Alwyn Francis D'souza Mudarangady compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
