Hot Tuesday in Delhi, no relief likely on Wednesday


New Delhi, June 9 (IANS): It was a hot and sunny Tuesday in the national capital with the maximum temperature recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average. Similar weather is likely on Wednesday, the Met Office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Wednesday will see clear skies and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 42 and 29 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday morning was partly cloudy and the minimum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 30 degrees.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 56 percent.

Monday's maximum temperature was recorded at 42.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius, normal for the season's average.
