Three murder convicts hanged in Pakistan

Islamabad, June 10 (IANS): Three murder convicts were executed on Wednesday in Pakistan's Punjab province, media reported.

Two convicts Tariq alias Tara and Aftab Bahadur were hanged to death in Kot Lakhpat Jail and Hashmat Ali was executed in the Central Jail, reported Geo News.

Tariq was convicted for the murder of one man.

Hashmat Ali was sentenced for killing five people during a shooting at "jigra", assembly of leaders.

Aftab Bahadur, convicted for killing a woman and her two children in 1992, claimed innocence in an open letter written on Tuesday.
