Play resumes after rain delays India's march

Fatullah, June 10 (IANS): Play resumed after rain stopped India's march on the first day of the one-off Test against hosts Bangladesh here on Wednesday.

India were 107 for no loss in 23.3 overs after captain Virat Kohli won the toss when rain interrupted play, following which the umpires declared an early lunch at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium.

Left-hander Dhawan was 74 not out and Vijay was unbeaten at 33 when rain halted play minutes before lunch time.

Following a ground inspection, the umpires decided the conditions were fit for resumption of play. Thirty eight more overs are scheduled to be bowled still stumps, weather and light permitting.
