Kolkata, June 10 (IANS): Reiterating his allegations of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party colleagues being involved in the Saradha scam, suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh on Wednesday said his party leaders had no right to discuss the chit fund issue in the state assembly.

Ghosh, behind bars since November 2013 for his alleged multiplicity in multi-crore scam, said Banerjee along with eight Trinamool MPs and six ministers were direct beneficiaries of the Saradha scam.

"Those who have come to power on the mercy of chit funds, they don't have the right to discuss about it in the assembly," said Ghosh.

"The chief minister, her eight MPs and six ministers, they are directly involved, what will they discuss? Those who have taken all the benefits of the chit funds, they don't have any right to discuss about it," said Ghosh coming out of a city court.

Banerjee on May 29 had told the assembly that her government was keen to frame a stringent law to protect investors from being cheated by chit fund companies.

"I will fight till the end," said Ghosh a few times as policemen accompanying him started thumping at the prison van to drown his voice.

With Ghosh often using his court appearances to make damaging claims against the ruling Trinamool, policemen have been resorting to making noises and forcibly dragging the MP into the prison van to prevent him from speaking.

Ghosh has repeatedly claimed Banerjee was the "biggest beneficiary" of the scandal.

Claiming that the CBI probe into the Saradha scam was being "influenced", the Rajya Sabha member and former head of Saradha's media arm in May had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention in the matter.
