Bengaluru, June 10 (IANS): Fortis Hospital is launching four new exclusive clinics in Bengaluru dedicated to provide superior quality treatment for men's sexual problems, doctors said on Wednesday.

The exclusive clinics, named MAN Clinics, will be housed within Fortis Hospitals in Bengaluru city.

These clinics will concentrate on Erectile Dysfunction (ED), Premature Ejaculation, Peyronie's Disease and Micro Penis.

"Misinformation and lack of awareness among men about their sexual health is the main reason why they shy away from seeking help at the right time," said Mohan Keshavamurthy, director of Urology, Andrology and Transplantation, Fortis Hospitals.

"Impotence is a condition that affects hundreds of men, and diabetes and hypertension are the leading causes of erectile dysfunction in almost half of the male population above 40," he said.

"Since the causes are usually physiological, it can be treated effectively and the success rate is 80-100 percent," Keshavamurthy added.

According to him, congenital deformity in the penis or an acquired deformity in the penis also contributes to sexual problems in men.

The doctors said stress and lifestyle related disorders were increasing sexual health problems in men.
