Guerrilla hideout busted in Poonch district


Jammu, June 10 (IANS): Security forces on Wednesday busted a guerrilla hideout in Poonch district of Jammu region and recovered some arms and ammunition from there.

A defence statement in winter capital Jammu said: "A joint operation by troops of army's Romeo Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a hideout in Buddha-Morban forest in Poonch District today.

"A large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered including one under barrel grenade launcher (UBGL) with sixteen grenades, three rocket propelled grenade (RPG) rounds, AK-47 rounds and magazines.

"The hideout also yielded two kilogram of explosives which could have been used for a sensational attack by terrorist in the area.
