Haryana to sow oil-seed crops in 10,000 hectares


Chandigarh, June 11 (IAN): Haryana has set a target to sow oil-seed crops in about 10,000 hectares during the kharif season, Agriculture Minister O.P. Dhankar said on Thursday.

Groundnut would be sown in Fatehabad, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Gurgaon, Mahendergarh and Rewari districts, and sesame in Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Karnal, Kaithal, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Jind, Rewari and Mewat districts.

Castor would be planted in Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa and Bhiwani districts, the minister said.
