Gurgaon, June 12 (IANS): Police on Friday arrested one person on the charge of involvement in the gang rape of a woman at gunpoint.

On the basis of a complaint by the woman - in her late thirties and a resident of Palam Vihar area here - a gang rape case was registered at Palam Vihar police station on Thursday against Habib Ansari and his two relatives.

She also said Ansari extorted money by blackmailing her with her obscene video shots and photos taken without her knowledge.

Presented before a magistrate, the woman however maintained she was raped by Ansari only while his two relatives were threatening her with dire consequences.

"The woman was produced before a magistrate after medical examination, where she said she was raped by Habib Ansari while his two relatives were threatening her with dire consequences if she disclosed the crime," a senior police officer said.

Police said that Ansari, originally from Shamli in western Uttar Pradesh, was living in Chand Bag area of Delhi with his family but recently shifted to a rented accommodation near the woman's house.
