Mangalore, Apr 24: A State-level seminar on Museums of Karnataka and an archaeological exhibition at Dharmasthala on May 2 and 3. The seminar has jointly been organized by Hampi Kannada University and Manjusha Museum of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala.
Speaking at a press conference here in the city on Monday April 23 Dr K M Suresh, director of department of Museum of Hampi University said that the seminar will be inaugurated by Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade.
Directorate of Archeology and Museums director Dr R Gopal, MLC and eminent litterateur Dr Chandrashekhar Kambara and Prof G M Umapathi Shastri too will be present at the inaugural function.
Hampi varsity vice –chancellor Prof B A Vivek Rai will preside over the function. A book ‘Dakshina Kannada Jilleya Ithihasa mattu Puratatva’ authored by Dr R Gopal will be released on the same occasion.
Valedictory of the seminar will be held on Thursday May 3 evening at 4 and Dr S D Shetty, director of Manjusha will deliver the valedictory address.
Hampi University registrar V Shankar, Ujire SDM College principal Dr B Yashovarma, Archeological Museums and Heritage Department commissioner K R Ramakrishna will be the chief guests on the occasion.
