Panaji, Apr 25: In order to monitor the preparations going on for the assembly elections, chief election commissioner N Gopalaswami paid a visit to the state.
He addressed a press conference in Panaji on Tuesday.
Election commissioners Dr S Y Qureshi and Navin B Chawla were present on the occasion.
The assembly elections are scheduled to be held in the first week of June 2007.
