Mangalore, Apr 27: The DK district Women’s Congress Wing held a protest against the alleged human trafficking by Babubal Katara, MP of Bharatiya Janata Party here on Thursday April 26.
The protest was held in front off the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Addressing the gathering Shamala Bhandari, state general secretary of the women’s wing said that the crime which Katara had committed is unpardonable in the Indian Society, that too by an MP.
At the protest she said that Katara should be ousted form the post of MP. Human trafficking is a serious crime for which he should be severely punished, she demanded.
Ivan D’Souza district Congress vice-president, B Sadananda Poonja former ZP president, Mamata D S Gatti and the all the members of the women’s congress wing took part in the protest.
