Rahul Gandhi meets protesting sanitation workers


New Delhi, June 17 (IANS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday met sanitation workers who have been protesting here for not been given their wages. He assured them of getting their demands fulfilled.

"We will get your demands fulfilled," he told the workers at Jantar Mantar.

"This isn't a speech for safai karamcharis (sanitation workers) but for the weak, poor, and the underprivileged people of this nation," he said.
