Kasargod, Jun 17: A second year MBBS student from a Mangaluru college fell from a train and died at Kalnad on Wednesday June 17.

The deceased is Kannuru Koothuparamba resident Vishnu (20). The incident occurred when he was travelling by Chennai Mail. It is assumed that he accidentally fell from the moving train.

When the police inspected the dead body, they found the college identity card which helped them establish the student’s identity. Vishnu died at the accident spot itself.

Bekal station police arrived and conducted an investigation. The dead body has been kept in the government hospital mortuary.

True and this very common mans feelings is what lets everybody down. the door should be closed while the train is moving. If there was too much rush then what about the other passengers the train could be stopped maybe if timely help/first aid was given he could have survived. I too have used these routes long back, when there were lesser transport options and let me tell you standing at the open door beyond the station is definitely not because of lack of seating or overcrowded trains.
