AIPMT exam: SC to hear plea on Friday

New Delhi, June 18 (IANS): The Supreme Court will on Friday hear a plea to re-conduct the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) examination it cancelled on Monday following a leak of the question papers.

An apex court bench headed by Justice R.K. Agrawal on Thursday agreed to hear the matter on Friday after Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar told the court it was not possible for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to re-conduct the exam within the four weeks time directed by the court.

The CBSE has sought three months time to re-conduct the AIPMT exam held on May 3. The court cancelled it after it was found that the question paper had been leaked and the answer sheet had been circulated with the help of electronic devices.
