Kundapur, May 1: Deputy chief minister BS Yediyurappa visited Sri Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Temple in Kamalashile here on Sunday April 29.
Speaking on the occasion, Yediyurappa said that the government plans to release Rs 60 to 70 crore for the development of religious centres in the state. He further said that the funds under Aardhn Yojane have been raised to Rs 10 lac.
He also stated that he would look in to the matter concerning compensation to those who have lost houses and incurred loss due to heavy rainfall in the region.
Third finance commission chairman AG Kodgi, Udupi district in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya, DK district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
