Pakistan fires at Indian positions on international border


Jammu, Jun 22 (IANS): Pakistan Rangers on Monday resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the international border in R.S. Pura sector of Jammu district.

"Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing at BSF (Border Security Force) outposts in R.S. Pura sector at 3.10 a.m. They used small automatic weapons," a senior police officer said here.

"The firing took place in the vicinity of the Gharana Wetland Bird Reserve."

The reserve is the winter home of migratory birds from different locations across the world.

"No casualty or damage occurred on our side," the officer added.
