Ashwin Bhat to head Swiss Airlines cargo business


New Delhi, June 23 (IANS): Swiss International Airlines on Tuesday announced major managerial changes at the international level by appointing Ashwin Bhat as its new cargo operations head, effective October 1.

According to the company, Bhat, who is currently head of its global area management at Swiss WorldCargo division, will succeed Oliver Evans.

Bhat, 46 is an Indian national, who joined Swiss WorldCargo in 2002.

“Ashwin Bhat is a proven air freight specialist,” said Harry Hohmeister, chief executive of Swiss International Airlines.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with him, and we wish him every success and satisfaction in his new capacity," Hohmeister added.
