Yet in between these cases the service of Bunts Nyaya Mandali is praiseworthy. It has been an example for the nation to solve their own cases whenever there are conflicts between them,” said retired Supreme court judge, former Karnataka Lokayuktha Justice Nitte Santhosh Hegde.
Justice Hegde was speaking after lighting the traditional lamp during the 15th general body meeting of Bunts Nyaya Mandali held at Bantara Bhavan mini hall in Kurla on Tuesday night June 23.
Padmanabha S Payyade and Ravindra M Arasa were elected unanimously as president and vice presidents respectively of Nyaya Mandali for the year 2015-17. Advocate Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, advocate Ashok D Shetty, advocate Rathnakar V Shetty, Dr Prabhakar Shetty, advocate Anand V Shetty, N C Shetty, Prabhakar L Shetty, Jyothi R Shetty, Ramakrishna V Shetty, Sanjeeva Shetty, Pandu M Shetty, Jaya A Shetty and P D Shetty were elected as the office bearers.
Newly appointed President Padmanabha Payyade assured the gathering that he will lead the Mandali as per the aspirations of the members.
R C Shetty, Seetharam M Shetty Colaba, Aikala Harish Shetty, advocate Ratnakar V Shetty and Latha Jayarama Shetty spoke on the occasion expressing their opinions.
Vice president Padmanabha S Payyade welcomed the assembly. Chief secretary advocate Ashok D Shetty read the report of the previous year and general body meeting. Treasurer Dr Prabhakar Shetty briefed them on the annual accounts. Former chief secretary advocate K P Prakash L Shetty conducted the proceedings.
