Bantwal, May 4: It was the usual rival-party-bashing at the Congress workers’ convention held at B C Road near here recently.
Addressing the convention former minister D B Chandregowda said that in the name of Ram the BJP has been collecting funds from the whole nation which is a blot on Ram’s name. He also said that BJP speaks of Ram a lot but its actions have been totally in contrast to the principals of Ram.
Former minister Mahadev said that the Congress had done a great job when it was in rule but this fact should be made known to the people. Election observer and MLC Hanumanthaya said BJP has been exploiting women's rights and has no right to speak about ethics.
Youth Congress president Bondala Jagannath Shetty, former minister B Ramanth Rai, former legislator K M Ebrahim, Harikrishna Bantwal, Sadanda Poonja, Sanitha Padmanabha, A C Bhandari, Umar Farukh, Sudharshan Jain and other members of the party were present at the convention.
