Panaji, May 4: As reported already, tar balls hit three major beaches in the state on Thursday.
The most hit are Candolim, Calangute and Anjuna beaches.
Although some officials said it was a normal phenomenon being the aftermath of sea-churning, fears in the minds of the public continue with scare of an oil spill in the sea. In such an eventuality, environmental hazards will be readily felt.
