Mangalore, May 4: The Immaculate Conception Church Kinnigoli celebrated parish day on Friday May 4 on the occasion of completing 30 years after the renovation of church.

Fr Victor Machado, rector of St Joseph’s Seminary was the main celebrant for the Solemn Eucharistic celebration. Few other guest priests of the deanery along with parish priest Fr Patrick Rodrigues, assistant parish priest Fr Anil D’Silva concelebrated the Eucharist.

Fr Victor Machado in his sermon said that a church building is built with bricks and stone, but a parish can be built only through love, helping each other and understanding each other.

A small stage program was held after the mass. Fr Henry D'Souza, parishioner and secretary of Communication and Media Commission, CBCI, Delhi was the chief guest. Parish priest Fr Patrick Rodrigues, superior of Bethany Convent Sr Premlatha, vice-president of Kinnigoli parish council Valerian Sequeira were other guests present on the dais.

In his speech Fr Henry D’Souza congratulated the parishioners for celebrating the parish day and he urged the parishioners to join hand for the development of the parish. Prizes were distributed to the winners in different games.

Charles Rodrigues welcomed the guests while Valerian Sequeira presented the report. Philomena Sequeira compered the program and Hilda D’Costa proposed vote of thanks. The program ended with a family agape.
