Cuchorem, (Goa) May 6: Concluding ceremony of 18th Akhil Bharatiya Konkani Sahitya Sammelan was held here at Dr Manohar Ray Sardesai Nagar on Sunday May 6th at 1.30 pm.
Eminent Tamil writer Shivshankari was the chief guest of the occasion. Dinesh Manekar delivered the concluding remarks on this occasion. Edwin J F D’Souza (Karnataka), J B Sequeira (Maharashtra) and Ramkrishna Zuarker (Goa) were felicitated at the concluding ceremony. J B Sequeira, President of the Sammelan, delivered his presidential remarks.
Gokuldas Prabhu, secretary of the Parishad proposed vote of thanks.
Earlier, seminar was held about ‘Development of Children and Literature’. Eminent Konkani writer Edwin J F D’Souza presided over the seminar. Madhavi Sardesai, Leena Pednekar and Rajiv Tambe were presented their papers.
Later in a ‘Bal Sammelan’, children presented their poems and short stories.
