Kolkata, June 30 (IANS): A medical college student here was allegedly molested by two of her seniors affiliated to the students' wing of the West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress, police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at the campus of the Nil Ratan Sarkar (NRS) Medical College and Hospital here on Monday.
According to the complaint filed with the police, the victim said she was molested during a scuffle between two rival groups of the students' union.
"We have received a complaint of molestation. We are looking into the matter. So far, we have not arrested or detained anyone in this regard," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Eastern Suburban Division) Dhrubajyoti De.
Confirming that they were affiliated to the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad, De said the two accused have also alleged being assaulted, with one of them admitted to a hospital with injuries.
