Auto Expo 2016 to be held from February 5-9


New Delhi, July 1 (IANS): Auto Expo 2016 will be held February 5-9 at the India Expo Mart and Centre in Greater Noida, it was announced on Wednesday.

The Auto Expo's B2B sister event -- The Component Show 2016 -- will be organised from February 4-7, 2016, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, the organisers said in a statement.

Auto Expo, the Indian auto industry's biennial showpiece event, is organised by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

All the major vehicle manufacturers from India and many from abroad are expected to participate and showcase their wares at the event.

The Auto Expo 2014 was the launch pad for 26 global and 44 domestic vehicle releases. As many as 200 two-wheelers and more than 300 cars, utility vehicles and commercial vehicles were showcased at the event, the statement said.

The average footfalls were 1,00,000 at the event, which also was hosted at India Expo Mart and Centre at Greater Noida.

The Components Show 2014 saw participation of nearly 1,100 companies and the display of 500 new technologies and over 5,000 products. Companies from the US, Japan, South Korea, China, Britain, Taiwan, Canada, Germany and other countries marked their presence, the statement added.

The four-day B2B event generated 34,000 business enquiries and received delegations from Germany, Korea, China, Russia, Sri Lanka and Canada to explore new opportunities, collaborations and joint ventures with the Indian manufacturers, the statement said.
