Mangalore, May 8: KSRTC workers' association protest committee of city division has reacted strongly against the allegation that the Mangalore division has violated language policy.

Addresing a press meet here on Tuesday May 8, Kurambayya, senior control officer, KSRTC city division said that the Mangalore division has been making more use of Kannada than any other divisions in the state. But sadly, Channegowda, state president of Kannada action committee, Bangalore is ignorant of this fact.

As reported earlier in these columns Channegowda, in a press meet held here recently had alleged that Kurambayya, senior control officer, KSRTC city division had violated the language policy from 2005.

He also said that Mangalore division in the year 2004-05 was bearing a loss of Rs 10 crore but from 2006-07 it was the hard work of labourers and the officers that the division has earned the profit of Rs 15 lac. It was due to jealousy of few that that they were not able to see the achievement of the division.

P Keshav, honorary  president, KSRTC workers association protest committee, K S Rathnakar, working president, KSRTC employees union of city division, V Shantaram, working president, KSRTC Mazdoor Sangh, Padbanabh, working president of KSRTC SC/ST workers association and Praveen Kumar, working president of staff and workers union were present at the press meet.
