Chris Martin meets Kejriwal


New Delhi, July 2 (IANS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had an unusual visitor -- Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Martin, who surprised fans in the capital with an impromptu gig on Wednesday, called on the Aam Aadmi Party leader at his official residence.

The meeting lasted for about 25 minutes, a government official told IANS.

Asked why Martin met Kejriwal, the official said: “The chief minister has been in the news not just in India but around the world.”

The singer also visited a cafe with actress Freida Pinto. Accompanying him were music director Vishal Dadlani, musician Raghu Dixit and members of a standup comedy collective.
