Modi greets Venezuela on Independence Day


New Delhi, July 5 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the people of Venezuela on the eve of their Independence Day.

"On Venezuela's Independence Day, my greetings and best wishes to the people of Venezuela," Modi said.

"Strong ties between India and Venezuela will be advantageous to both our nations. Looking forward to deeper cooperation with Venezuela," Modi said in a statement.

Venezuela gained independence from Spain in 1821.
