Chandy's look-alike from Saudi Arabia reaching Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, July 6 (IANS): Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's look-alike, a Saudi Arabian national who is arriving here later this month, wants to meet him.

It all began a month ago when someone posted the picture of Hassan Al-Assiri hailing from Jizan in the oil rich kingdom on the social media. The photo went viral due to his likeness to Chandy.

Soon, Al-Assiri was spotted by a few Keralites who showed him the picture of Chandy.

An amused Al-Assiri expressed his desire to meet Chandy after he came to know of his picture going viral.

A close aide of Chandy told IANS that the chief minister was also amused when he was shown pictures of Al-Assiri.

"The chief minister would be only glad to meet Al-Assiri if he wishes to come here to meet him (Chandy)," said the aide of Chandy.

Al-Assiri is expected to arrive in the capital city, after the ongoing holy month of Ramadan is over. Recently, a Chnady look-alike was also spotted in Canada.
