Putin, Hollande discuss Greek referendum


Moscow, Jul 7 (IANS): Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of France Francois Hollande discussed over phone the results of Sunday's referendum in Greece on Tuesday, media reported.

"The two presidents discussed the results of the referendum in Greece, including from the point of view of further development of the situation in the eurozone," TASS news agency cited Kremlin press service as saying.

A total of 61.3 percent Greek citizens on Sunday voted against the terms of the agreement with creditors on settling the country's sovereign debt.

Earlier, the French president and German Chancellor Angela Merkel after a meeting said the door remains open for discussions.
