Udupi, May 12: Deviprasad Shetty, district president, JD(S), told the district administration to be easygoing with the shopkeepers who earn their livelihood form these shops.
Addressing press persons here on Friday May 11, Shetty said that though the move of the district administration to widen the main streets of the city is right. But when it comes to dealing with the shops situated on the roadside, they have to be careful, as these shopkeepers are running their businesses by acquiring bank loan.
He added that action should be taken against owners of big shopping complexes which have not provided for parking space around the complexes.
Present at the meet were JD(S) leaders Jagadish Yadiyal, Geetanjali Suvarna and Vasudeva Rao.
