Teenage girl thrash a youth inside a UP police stationfor allegedly eve-teasing her

Jul 8, (Mid-day): Watch a teenage girl thrash a youth inside a UP police station and make him apologise for allegedly eve-teasing her. The video, shot by a cop, of the incident has gone viral on social networking sites

PILIBHIT: A teenage girl thrashed a youth inside a police station here and made him apologise for allegedly eve-teasing her, the video of which went viral on social networking sites, officials said.

Angry over alleged eve-teasing, the girl on Sunday stopped Ankit Rajput's motorcycle by blocking the way with her bicycle in front of Puranpur police station and dragged him inside the premises, police said.

Netizens are praising the girl for standing up the sexual harassment, and that too inside a police station.

According to the girl, the boy used to pass lewd comments on girls while standing outside the Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College.

The girl slapped the youth and beat him up with her shoes and made him touch her feet seeking apology in front of police personnel, they said. The video of the incident went viral on social networking sites yesterday.

In fact, at the start of the video, one person (apparently a cop) who is shooting the entire incident is heard saying, "chal beta, maar" ('come child, beat').

Another police officer can also be seen laughing in the video as the girl beats up the boy.

Though the police let the youth off with an apology as no complaint was made from the girl's side, Pilibhit Superintendent of Police JK Shahi has ordered a probe after watching the video.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said the incident has once again brought to light the poor law and order situation in the Samajwadi Party-ruled Uttar Pradesh where eve-teasing and rape are becoming "daily affairs".
