Abu Dhabi, May 13: PURNA VIDYA a Vedic Heritage Teaching Program, Abu Dhabi hosted their 4th Annual Day Celebrations at the Indian Embassy Auditorium, Abu Dhabi today (11th May, 2007).  The programme started at 9.30 AM with the Welcome Speech by the Chief Convenor of Abu Dhabi Chapter, Srinivas Achar who not only welcomed the gathereing in his spiritual way but also made the crowd aware of the essentiality of the vedic teaching in the present world.




Purna Vidya is a voluntary non-profit making organisation teaching children the values of Puranas and Vedas in present life.  Their contribution to the society is really commendable.  Classes are conducted in a regular basis wherein children attend without fail with their own interest.

Today's programme was in a jam packed auditorium in the presence of dignatories like Amit Kinikar, who was the Chief Guest of the day's function.  Kinikar a prominent scholar of Vedanta Academy, Bombay who not only spoke about the subject but also had a open question and answer session.  Also present were Srinivas Babu, First Secretary of the Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi, Murthy of Dubai Purna Vidya, Savitha Naik who will be co-ordinating the Purna Vidya, Al Ain, Dignitories of the Indian Embassy and various prominent figures and Managing Committee Members of the Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha.






It was a colourful programme where the litte children of various groups showed their talents on the vedic heritage, chants and stories from the epic were very beautifully enacted on the stage.  The audiance were spell bound when they saw the children chanting the vedic chants in a purely spiritual way which even the parents could have not been able to do so.
The main theme was Ramayana katha followed by short play on good and evil, ganga avathar and finally festival of India.  Also various classical dances were presented enroute the epic stories enacting.

The programme was sponsored by various organisations of Abu Dhabi and also by many well wishers who contributed generously for  the programme, sumptous lunch, juices, tea and ice cream for children as well as the attendees.

While Ravi Chatra presented the annual report Umesh Rao presented the Vote of Thanks.
