Kidnapped minor girl rescued in Delhi

New Delhi, July 9 (IANS): A minor girl who was kidnapped in Delhi was rescued on Thursday from the New Delhi railway station and the kidnapper arrested, police said.

Two police personnel on duty at the bustling station saw the 19-year-old accused named Gaurav taking the girl along with him.

"The girl didn't appear to be at ease with the man and this raised suspicion. The police personnel questioned them and upon realising that the girl had been kidnapped, the man was arrested," said a police officer.

The girl's father -- who lives in Neb Sarai area -- was contacted, and he informed police that his daughter had been kidnapped, and a first information report (FIR) registered at Neb Sarai police station.
