Explosives seized from Patna lodge


Patna, Jul 10 (IANS): Bihar Police on Thursday seized a huge quantity of explosives, including 10 'cane bombs', from a lodge here, an official said. Police suspect that the explosives belong to Maoists.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Vikash Vaibhav said a police team raided the lodge following a tip from Ranchi police and recovered the explosives.

Police sealed the lodge and deployed officials there.

According to another police officer, explosives recovered at the lodge in Ramkrishna Nagar area are suspected to be of Maoist outfit People's Liberation Front of India.

Police have detained a caretaker of the lodge to collect more information.
