Beltangady, May 14: D T Jayakumar housing minister said that an action plan was being prepared for the setting up of 100-bedded yoga and naturopathy hospital in every district and taluk headquarters.  The government is planning to seek the regulation of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade in this regard, he added

The government will provide land and building for the setting up of naturopathy hospital. The hospital will be handed over to private parties for maintenance.

The minister further said that the beneficiaries of Ashraya scheme will be circulated with ownership letter as an alternative to title deeds. Accordingly, owners cannot sell the house. Those who own the houses in the forest region will be legalized. A decision in this regard will be taken soon at the cabinet meeting, he added.

He further said that the state government has plans to construct 6 lac houses in the state. The state will be declared as slum-free within two years, by constructing 18 lac houses. 

With the help of private partnership, it has been decided to convert the state free of slums before 2015. As per the survey conducted there are as many as 13 lac people who do not have roof over their head in the state.

The government will build houses under Rajiv Gandhi Vasanthi Yojane, kolache nirmoolana mandala and Karnataka housing board, said Jayakumar.
