Sharif happy on having spoken to Modi


Ufa (Russia), July 10 (IANS): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said he was happy with the talks he had with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Responding to questions on his meeting with Modi, Sharif said the "foreign secretaries have made a draft".

Asked if he was happy about the meeting, he said: "Yes".

Modi and Sharif held around an hour-long bilateral talks on the sidelines of the BRICS summit here.

It was decided in the talks that the trial for Mumbai terror attack, which is going on in Pakistan, will be expedited.

The two leaders also jointly condemned terrorism, and agreed on a slew of measures to increase dialogues, including increasing religious tourism, freeing captured fishermen, and talks at DG BSF, and DGMO (Directorate General ofAMilitaryAOperations) as well as meeting between national security advisers of both countries.
